Need something to fill the void in the day? Missoula has plenty to offer those looking to remove themselves from their houses, apartments, dorms or hotel rooms. Get settled in with a movie down at the historic Wilma Theatre, find yourself tipping back a cold one with the locals at Charlie B's, or settle yourself into a more cultural evening at one of the various museums, galleries or stage theatres. Whatever the craving, you can find it here in Missoula!
Movies
Carmike Cinemas
The local option for a cinaplex. Carmike 10 out on Reserve St. between Walmart and Home Depot offers 10 large screens with stadium seating and great sound. Also offering the Village 6 at Reserve St. and Brooks (on the way out of town toward Lolo) that is a cheaper seat movie theater showing most anything that has been squeezed out of the larger Carmike 10.
The Wilma Theater
The local's choice for seeing a movie on a large screen while in downtown Missoula. On Higgins just south of Front St before you hit the bridge, the Wilma is showing a few different movies at any given time with cheap seats on Tuesdays and the early show being presented on the big screen. A great venue for a movie that also offers you a beer while you watch!
UC Theater
Looking to be a bit frugal and wanting to see some not-so-new movies, the UC Theater is the location for you! The movie selections are rotating on a weekly basis so that you have a greater chance of catching something you like even if the current week's movies don't look too enticing.
Movie Rental
Crystal Video
A local favorite for movie rentals. Crystal Video always has somebody on hand who knows just about every movie in the store, and are endlessly helpful in giving you a review of movies you've yet to see.
Crazy Mike's Video
Cheap Tuesdays! Cheap Tuesdays! Yeah, there is a crowd in there on Tuesdays every week, and sometimes it might be hard to find what you want because of it... but really, who cares for this price?

Opera
Montana Lyric Opera
Until recently, there has been a gaping hole in our cultural community -- the one major art form that combines the visual and performing arts at their highest level: Opera.
That’s why, in late 2007, a group of ambitious artists and cultural leaders created the Montana Lyric Opera, a non-profit company dedicated to bringing great opera to western Montana. In just one short year, we have been delighted by sold-out community outreach performances of Opera on Draft, a highly successful 2008 Summer Youth Opera Camp, and our first professional production, Amahl and the Night Visitors.

Missoula Children's Theatre
Offering plays throughout the year and a place for children be "off the streets" (because they can sure get rowdy in Missoula when a Griz vs. Bobcats game gets going), the Missoula Children's Theatre is here to entertain the masses locally and abroad!
